Arquet, San Francisco Ferry Building
A highlight of the project is the private dining room fixture, a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Lawrence from Metro Lighting and the late Helen Holt. This sculptural piece combines Helen’s artfully draped and handsewn fabric over a custom welded frame, creating a dramatic yet intimate centerpiece for the space.
Via Aurelia, Mission Rock
Metro Lighting collaborated with Jered Pottery to create the custom lighting for Via Aurelia, a new San Francisco restaurant by the award-winning firm DLC-ID.
Bar Underdog
Metro Lighting created a series of custom bar-mounted lamps for this offshoot of Protégé, an upscale casual restaurant in Palo Alto.
Wayfare Tavern
Tyler Florence's new space blends vintage charm with modern sophistication, featuring rich textures, classic detailing, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
A standout element? In our humble opinion, it's the custom lighting by Metro Lighting. Ten large scale chandeliers spread throughout the dining areas complement the historic architecture and enhance the intimate ambiance. Custom nouveau bar lamps greet you at the hostess stand and march down the bustling bar.
Merchant Roots
Bringing DLC-ID’s conceptual light fixtures to life was a challenge and a joy—a fusion of imagination and mechanics, drawing inspiration from the elegant simplicity of early machines: levers, pulleys, screws, wheels and axles, inclines, and wedges.
Lunette Cambodia
Featuring a series of red-tinted, lantern-inspired fixtures that bring warmth, vibrancy, and a subtle sense of history to the dining experience.
Comforts Cafe
Metro Lighting was proud to handcraft a trio of custom fixtures tailored to the café’s aesthetic. Incorporating hand-stitched leather and custom handblown glass shades, the statement pendants bring an ambient glow to the newly reopened dining area.
Bar Agricole
Led by owner Thad Vogler and architect Seth Boor of Boor Projects, the space was conceived with a strong emphasis on materiality, light, and spatial coherence. Every detail is intentional, but it’s the custom-designed lighting—designed and executed in close collaboration with Boor—that acts as the connective tissue of the experience.
