Matt Hollis Architecture specializes in winery projects, among other typologies. In designing a new tasting room for Etude Wines in Carneros, California, Matt created renderings for these large lighting fixtures. Metro Lighting was chosen from a short list of bidders to create the four chandeliers, along with a handful of related fixtures.

Lawrence suggested cylindrical shades at each light source to cut down on the glare of exposed halogen lamps. We designed the construction details and complex welding jigs to fabricate the fixtures. These chandeliers are four feet wide and eight feet tall, built of mild steel, welded and powder-coated. It's worth a trip just to visit these fixtures, but you might as well taste some fine wines while you're there!
