We are currently seeking a Salesperson for our Berkeley showroom. We are a small company of designers and makers. We want our customers to love their lighting purchase for years to come, so we actively listen and work together to create the best solution for their project. Foot traffic varies, and there is always work to do– following through on projects, receiving orders, and keeping things tidy.

Hours and compensation:
The work schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30am-5:30pm. We are closed Sunday-Monday. Starting pay is $20-$22/hour, plus paid vacation and sick time.
Duties include:
Advising customers on lighting choices and light bulbs
Creating simple drawings of customized fixtures
Unpacking and stocking inventory
Keeping the showroom clean and organized
Packing and shipping
Requirements:
Developed visual design sense
Attention to detail and follow-through
Friendly and comfortable working with the public
Minimum 2 years experience in sales or customer service
Basic hand drawing skills, neat handwriting
Understanding of basic color theory
Organized, conscientious, and respectful
Positive, pro-active, self-starter
Comfortable climbing step ladders and lifting up to 20 pounds
Knowledge of Quickbooks, Filemaker Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator a plus but we will train as needed
