Stop the Spread
At Metro Lighting, we have been very cautious in re-opening in order to protect the health of our dedicated staff and customers.
We are currently open by appointment only. This provides plenty of space to work with each customer safely and to keep records for contact tracing, should we find there has been exposure to Covid 19. Appointments are made online, but we do accept limited drop-ins based on available staff.
We only allow one party per salesperson to enter the store at a time.
We require all of our customers to disinfect their hands with hand sanitizer when they arrive and to wear proper face coverings inside our showroom.
Customers are encouraged to look with their eyes, not their hands. We are always happy to change out glass and light bulbs for customers to help envision other design options.
Healthy Staff
Our employees are instructed to stay home if they are ill. Employees accumulate paid sick time and will not lose income if they are unable to work due to illness.
Our employees have health insurance and are encouraged to seek immediate medical attention if they exhibit any symptoms of Covid 19.
Staff members wash and sanitize their hands frequently, wear proper face coverings, and stay a safe distance away from customers and other staff members as much as possible.
Shifts are staggered to minimize contact between staff members.
Staff members who are able to complete their work from home are encouraged to do so.
Cleaning and Disinfecting
Customers are encouraged to pay online or by phone prior to picking up their orders to minimize contact, and to use credit/debit cards over cash.
Frequently touched surfaces are disinfected daily using EPA approved sanitizers.
Each staff member has their own set of tools and office supplies. In the case of any shared equipment, surfaces are disinfected after each use.
Products are boxed and set aside for customers at least 24 hours prior to pickup.
